Tallahassee is known for its beautiful 100 year old enormous live oaks and red rolling hills. As long ago as 10,000 B.C., Native Americans lived and farmed the rich red hills of present day Tallahassee where they constructed temple mounds and developed impressive works of pottery, which were traded as far away as the Great Lakes.
In 1821 the U.S Territory of Florida was established and the territorial legislature decided that its new capital should be mid-way between St. Augustine and Pensacola as a stopping point, which is known as present-day Tallahassee.
In 1854, a school for boys was founded which later became Florida State University. The Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University was founded in 1884, the state's first institution for African Americans.
If you would like to know more about the history of Tallahassee, just ask me because I would love to share with you the wonderful place I call home.
About Me!
As a young boy, growing up in Tallahassee was wonderful to say the least. We had thousands of trees to pick form for our makeshift tree forts and miles upon miles of canopy trails to explore. We roamed the land, fished the local lakes, and camped out under the stars with friends on our summer breaks.
In 1996 I graduated for Lincoln High and enrolled myself into Tallahassee Community Collage (TCC) which turned out to be a longer stay then I had originally planned. I guess I was having too much fun and just did not want to grow up. In summer of 1999 I meet my beautiful wife to be Holly Calkins of Venice Florida. Needless to say it was not long before I had finished TCC and was on my way to Florida State where I graduated in summer 2001 with a BS degree in Social Science. Holly and I wed in January 2001 and became parents in 2005 to a wonderful son named Nathan Williams Newell II and again in 2007 to another we named Hunter Leon Newell.
In 2001 I accomplished and received my Florida Real Estate Salesmen license and in 2004 my Florida Real Estate Brokers license. My office currently has 10 licensed real estate agents and encompasses a full service property management and relocation department. My goal for the future of Amac Real Estate Co is to continue to expand the number of qualified agents from 30 to 50, and build a large office on Capital Circle NE
In closing I hope you find my website helpful & inspiring. When considering a Realtor please consider me in representing you and your real estate transaction.
Sincerely,
Nathan
